It is illegal to posses, own or raise roosters. This is considered disturbing the peace.
Over the years, roosters became a greater nuisance than most residents could tolerate. Thus, the roosters have been labeled as disturbances of the peace.
City Council order reads: “No dog shall be in a public place without its master on a leash.”
Actually, this law is common in just about every state. In this case, however, the wording is rather uncommon.
It is illegal to fish from an overpass in the city.
9.36.010 Jumping or fishing from bridge or overpass–Prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person to jump or fish from any bridge or overpass located within the city limits. (Ord. 227 (part), 1988)
