It is unlawful for a minor under the age of eighteen to play a pinball machine.

Related laws:

1. To play pinball, one must be 18 years old.
2. Persons under the age of 16 may not play pinball after 11:00 PM.
3. Pinball machines are outlawed, as well as mock horse racing games.

Persons operating scooters, in-line skates or roller skates shall operate such scooters and skates in a single file.

Related laws:

1. No person may roller skate and listen to a radio at the same time.
2. Anyone rollerblading may not tie his or herself to a moving vehicle on a highway.
3. Skateboarding is not allowed at any police station.

It shall be unlawful for any person or the agent of employee of any person owning or conducting any place of business wherein is kept any pool table, billiard table or bagatelle table to place in front of the room or across the inside of the room, wherein is kept any such pool table, billiard table or bagatelle table for hire or gain, any screen, blind, curtain, shutter, painted, colored or ground glass or any article of furniture or any obstruction that would prohibit the view of such pool table, billiard table or bagatelle table from the street in front of such room or place of business wherein is kept any of the tables above described.

2. Minors can’t play billiards without parental signature.
3. An arcade may not have more than a total of four amusement devices such as ping-pong tables, pinball machines, or shuffleboard tables.

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:

MECHANICAL AMUSEMENT DEVICE

A. Any mechanical pinball amusement device which is so constructed that the result of its operation depends upon chance, or upon the skill of the operator, or upon both;

B. Any mechanical device which in its operation shoots or propels an electric light, ray or impulse to a target;

C. Any table bowling, shuffleboard or other mechanical table game or amusement device involving the propulsion of spheres or other projectiles, mechanically or by hand; or

D. Any coin-operated or coin-in-the-slot table amusement device or game.

PERSON — An individual, partnership, corporation, club or association.

§ 81-3. License required; number restricted.

A. No person shall have in any place within a permanent structure open to the general public or occupied by any club or association any mechanical amusement device without first having obtained a license therefor.

B. Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsection A, no person shall have in any place within a permanent structure open to the general public more than four mechanical amusement devices.

3. Minors may not go to businesses with coin-operated foosball machines unless accompanied by an adult.

The number of sessions of bingo conducted or sponsored by an exempt organization shall be limited to two sessions per week and such sessions must not exceed a period of five hours each per session. No two sessions of bingo shall be held within a 48-hour period of time. No more than two sessions of bingo shall be operated or conducted in any one building, hall or structure during any one calendar week and if two sessions are held, they must be held by the same exempt organization. This section shall not apply to bingo games conducted at a fair or other exhibition conducted pursuant to Article 45 of Chapter 106 of the General Statutes.

3. Professional sports, except ice polo and hockey, must obtain a license to play games on Sunday.

It shall be unlawful for any person in the city, to play baseball or any other game upon any street, sidewalk, lane or alley.

SECTION 11-13-4

§ 11-13-4 Toy canes or devices for firing blanks. No person or persons shall sell, expose for sale, possess with intent to sell or use, or discharge or use, within this state, any repeating toy cane for discharging any explosive, any toy pistol, or any other toy device designed or used for the discharge of blank cartridges.

1. Rhode Island recently applied to the US Government to make all the coastal waters of Rhode Island a “No Discharge Zone”.
2. A permit must be obtained to fire a missile.
3. It is unlawful to give another fireworks.

(a) A person may not wade or otherwise immerse any part of his body in any City-owned fountain or pool, except in pools constructed, operated and maintained for the purpose of swimming.

(b) A person may not throw or otherwise deposit in any way any trash, debris or any other matter whatsoever into any City fountain or pool, except swimming equipment in designated areas of pools constructed, operated and maintained for the purpose of swimming.
