I doubt it if whoever wrote that stupid law, cause any person with sense would know that is a mean word.And their are other words people could say about other races.However, the person who wrote must be stupid because that is a stupid law. Now, someone says that,they better run, we are not dumb like they thought we was.Back, then, blacks didnt have a say

You guys do realize that a good majority of these were laws way back in the 1800′s and just haven’t been taken off of this specific website yet, right?

You realize that there wasn’t any internet in the 1800′s? So it’s not like they were added to this specific site when the law was passed. This law was added just to prove that there WERE stupid laws, it does not mean they are still in effect. This law was probably discarded before this site was ever made, relax people. And as for the first comment, good job at making a great point then just throwing it all away as you mention not being stupid but not being able to speak proper english.

Yep, this was a common law in many places in America. The off the book punishment was usually death. There is a book written about this called “Sundown Towns” I think. Just Google the term and you will get a known list.

This is actually true, I live in the area and there is a big bridge between Princeton and mt. Carmel (two towns very close to Fairfield) that was just recently tore down. It STILL had a plaque on it that stated the law that no negros are allowed within the city limits between 6:00pm and 7:00am. Of course it’s not inforced anymore but it was a law in this area a long time ago.
