    If your vehicle breaks down and you leave it on the side of the road, you must mark the vehicle with a red, reflecting triangle.

This law is for safty. Many roads in Norway are narrow and have quite a few bends. The reflective triangle is to be placed at least 150 meters behind the stalled car as a warning to other drivers that there is an obstacle ahead.

I think this law is smart, some of the norwegian roads is quiet small.. bt, there is a crack on it, if you drive a motorcykle and it stops, you dont have to put up a red triangle:p
