Having grown up 10 minutes from the border to New Brunswick, I’ve driven on the roads there. Never knew I was breaking the law! Lol

What was the point of even having a road?! This is an old outdated/unenforced law people. Stop saying its false or a lie. Its annoying and you make yourself sound stupid. Thank you.

I think people need to read the extra info -this law is about drunk driving and other forms of impaired driving. so, you are not allowed to drive on the road when you are drunk. get it?

WHOEVER STARTED THE MYTH THAT NEW BRUNSWICK DOES NOT ALLOW DRIVING ON ITS ROADS IS EITHER JOKING OR IS SIMPLY DELUSIONAL. THE MOTOR VEHICLE ACT (R.S. N.B. 1973 c.M-17) SPECIFICALLY DETAILS THE TRAFFIC RULES FOR MOTOR VEHICLES, RULES RESPECTING THE SPEED OF VEHICLES ON THE HIGHWAYS AND DETAILED RULES OF THE ROAD FOR DRIVING ON THE PROVINCE’S PUBLIC WAYS. IN OTHER WORDS THIS IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF SOMEONE MAKING UP A DUMB LAW THAT IS NONEXISTENT.

It is a actual law. But it is a print error. It is supposed to be sidewalks but through poor administrative typing, someone wrote the word roads. Why NB never changed it, is a mystery. It could be because they wanted to keep it there for history, fun, whatever. But it is real and it really is NOT enforced.

….and did you know that all cars must have 23K gold spinners and rims larger then 82 inches and have sufficient dubloons to make an offering to the great tree gods in order to apply for a citizenship? no kidding… thats canada for ya! — yeah… whoever posted this law about driving on streets being illegal in so and so a place really should go back to school…
