Arkansas Constitution Article 19 Section 1 states that no person who denies the being of a God shall hold any office in the civil departments of this State, nor be competent to testify as a witness in any Court.

Should be repealed due to 1st amendment.

This is unacceptable. America is founded on freedom of religion, and non-religion should get just as much respect.

So if you aren’t aware of a religion you have no authority? When I was born I wasn’t even aware of christianity or religion what so ever!

How is this a stupid law? One cannot be considered trustworthy if they cannot themselves believe in God and His truth.
