That law may not be enforced. There are Albanian colonies in Italy where men wear skirts of ancestral origin. What about the Romans? It was pants they disliked. They exiled men in pants in 393AD after pants started to be seen in some areas, 15 years after Rome lost the battle of Adrianople to trousered cavalrymen in present day Hungary. Pants were regarded politically subversive. Over 1,000 years later, Italians laughed at Pantalone, the top clown in the Comedy of the Arts, from whose name comes “pants.” Intolerance is SUCH a great evil!
